Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and I'm looking for some help. I was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and I'm trying to learn more about the condition and its symptoms. My question is, where does kidney cancer pain start? I'm hoping to get some advice from other people who may have experienced the same thing or who know someone who has been through it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pain Location

Kidney cancer pain can start in the middle of the back, just below the ribs. This pain can be dull or sharp, and it may come and go. It may also radiate to the lower abdomen, groin, or upper thigh. If the cancer has spread to the bones, the pain may be felt in other areas, such as the lower back, hips, or legs.

Risk Factors and Diagnosis

Kidney cancer is more common in people who are over the age of 45, and it is is more common in men than in women. Other risk factors include smoking, obesity, high blood pressure, and a family history of kidney cancer.

To diagnose kidney cancer, a doctor may order a physical exam, blood tests, urine tests, imaging tests, such as an ultrasound or CT scan, or a biopsy.

Treatment Options

Treatment for kidney cancer depends on the type and stage of the cancer. Options may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or a combination of treatments.

The prognosis for kidney cancer varies depending on the stage of the cancer and other factors. Some people with early-stage kidney cancer may have a good prognosis, while people with advanced-stage kidney cancer may have a poorer prognosis.

Kidney cancer pain can start in different areas depending on the type and progression of the cancer. Generally, the pain originates in the flank region, which is located between the ribs and hips. It may be a dull, constant ache, or a sharp, intermittent pain. The pain may also be felt in the abdomen, lower back, and groin. In some cases, the pain may radiate to other areas, such as the pelvis or legs. In addition to physical pain, kidney cancer can cause psychological distress. Therefore, if you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to consult a doctor.

Kidney cancer pain often starts in the side or lower back, but can also be felt in other areas. It may be a dull ache, or a sharp, stabbing pain that comes and goes. It is usually not constant, and can be made worse by movement or certain positions. Other symptoms can include fever, nausea, chills, pain when urinating, and blood in the urine. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it is important to see a doctor as soon as possible.

Kidney cancer pain can be felt in many areas of the body, but usually begins around the area of the kidney itself. Pain may be experienced in the side, back, and abdomen, and can range from mild to severe. It may be described as a dull ache, a sharp stabbing pain, burning sensation, or a feeling of fullness or pressure. The pain may come and go, or be constant. In some cases, kidney cancer can cause pain in the legs, chest, or other areas of the body. If you are experiencing any type of pain that you think might be related to kidney cancer, it is important to speak with your doctor.
