"Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping that someone can help me out. I'm trying to understand when patients should be admitted to the hospital for pancreatitis. Does anyone have any experience with this or know when it's necessary to seek medical care? I'd really appreciate any advice or information anyone can provide.

Symptoms of Pancreatitis

The most common symptoms of pancreatitis include:

Abdominal pain: Pain in the upper abdomen that may spread to the back or chest.

Nausea and vomiting: Nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite may occur.

Fever: A low-grade fever may occur, along with chills and sweating.

Jaundice: Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes, which is a sign of liver damage.
