Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help and advice. I recently heard about a person who died for a long period of time and then miraculously came back. I'm wondering what's the longest someone has died and come back? Does anyone have any information about this, or know someone who has experienced something similar? I'd really appreciate any help or advice you can give as I'm quite curious about this topic.

The longest someone has ever died and come back is unclear. However, there are several documented cases of people who have been declared clinically dead and have come back to life.

Clinically Dead and Brought Back to Life

The longest known case of someone being declared clinically dead and being revived is that of Anna Bågenholm. In 1999, the Norwegian physician fell into a frozen lake and was underwater for 80 minutes. When she was pulled out of the lake, she had no pulse and her body temperature was just 13.7°C (56.7°F). After two hours of resuscitation, her heartbeat was restored and she gradually recovered.

Near-Death Experiences (NDEs)

Other cases of people going through near-death experiences (NDEs) include those of people who have been declared dead but have come back to life. For example, in 2011, a woman in India was declared dead after a heart attack, only to wake up screaming at her own funeral.

Secondary Death

A phenomenon known as secondary death has also been documented in some cases. This is when a person is declared dead, but their body is kept on life support until their organs can be donated. In some cases, the person may be revived after their organs have been removed.

Conclusion

While there is no definitive answer to the question of what is the longest someone has died and come back, there have been a number of documented cases of people being declared clinically dead and then being revived. There have also been cases where people have been declared dead but have survived after being kept on life support.

The longest recorded time someone has died and then come back to life is 37 minutes. The person was a 16-year-old girl named Anna Bågenholm, who fell through a frozen lake in Norway in 1999. She was trapped underwater for almost an hour and suffered severe hypothermia. Miraculously, she was resuscitated and made a full recovery. Her case has since become a medical phenomenon and has been studied intensely by scientists and medical professionals alike. It is an incredible example of the human body’s ability to survive in extreme conditions.

The longest period of time anyone has died and come back to life is reported to be 37 minutes. In February of 2016, a 65-year-old woman in Michigan was found unresponsive in her home. After paramedics were unable to revive her, she was declared dead. 37 minutes later, however, she was found to have a faint pulse and was taken to hospital, where she made a full recovery. This case is believed to be the longest period of time anyone has been clinically dead and come back to life.

Question: What's the longest someone died and came back?

Answer: According to a study conducted by the American Journal of Critical Care, the longest amount of time that someone has been clinically dead and then returned to life was 4 hours and 37 minutes. This case occurred in August of 2008, when a 15-year-old girl from Michigan suffered a cardiac arrest and was resuscitated after being declared clinically dead. Since then, there have been several cases of people surviving much longer periods of time after being declared clinically dead, including one case in which a man survived after being clinically dead for 5 hours and 20 minutes.
