I'm wondering what MBTI is considered super rare? I'm new to the MBTI world and I'm interested in learning more about this type of personality test. Can anyone help me out and explain what is considered rare and why? I'd appreciate any advice or insights that you'd be willing to share with me.

MBTI, or Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, is a personality test developed by psychologist Carl Jung and taken by millions of people worldwide. The test measures four areas of psychological functioning: extraversion vs introversion, sensing vs intuition, thinking vs feeling, and judging vs perceiving. Each person is given a four-letter code based on their results, such as INTJ or ENFP.

The Rare Types

While the most common MBTI types are ESTJ (10.6%), ISTJ (13.6%), ESFJ (12.3%), and ISTP (9.3%), certain types are much rarer. The rarest type is INFJ, which makes up only 1.5% of the population, followed by the INFP type which makes up 4%. Other rare types include the INTJ (2%), ENFP (8%), and ENTP (3%).

Why Are They Rare?

The rarity of certain MBTI types is due to a combination of biological and environmental factors. For one, certain traits may be more likely to occur in certain environments, and individuals may be more likely to be drawn to a certain type of environment. Additionally, some people may be less likely to take the test or report their results accurately, leading to an underrepresentation of certain types.

What Does It Mean?

For people who are one of the rarer MBTI types, it can be both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, they may feel special or unique for having a less common type, but on the other hand, they may feel isolated or misunderstood because of their rarity. Ultimately, it's important to remember that everyone is unique and that no type is “better” or “worse” than any other.
