What kills pancreatic cells

Hi everyone, I'm looking for help with understanding what kills pancreatic cells. Recently I've heard that unhealthy diets, alcohol consumption, obesity, and smoking can be major causes of pancreatic cell death, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. Does anyone have any information or insight on what kills pancreatic cells? Any knowledge or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Causes of Pancreatic Cell Death

There are a variety of factors that can lead to the death of pancreatic cells, including genetic mutations, environmental exposures, and chronic health conditions.

Genetic Mutations

Genetic mutations can lead to the death of pancreatic cells. These mutations are caused by changes in the genetic code, which can lead to the production of abnormal proteins or enzymes. For example, mutations in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes can cause pancreatic cancer, which can lead to the death of pancreatic cells.

Environmental Exposures

Environmental exposures, such as cigarette smoke, air pollution, and certain chemicals, can also lead to the death of pancreatic cells. These exposures can damage the cells, leading to their death.

Chronic Health Conditions

Chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, can also lead to the death of pancreatic cells. Diabetes can damage the cells, leading to their death. In addition, people with diabetes often have high levels of glucose in their blood, which can lead to the death of pancreatic cells.
