Still's disease is also known as systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SJIA). It is an inflammatory condition that is characterized by periodic fevers, joint pain, and rashes. In some cases, the condition can lead to organ inflammation, resulting in complications such as carditis, pericarditis, pleuritis, and hepatitis. The condition is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, although it can occur at any age. Treatment usually consists of anti-inflammatory drugs, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and biological medications. In some cases, physical therapy may also be recommended for joint pain and stiffness.
