Hello everyone! I'm looking for some help understanding the other name for axial spondyloarthritis. Does anyone here have any knowledge about this condition? I recently found out I may have it and I'm trying to learn more about it. From my research, I know that it's also called ankylosing spondylitis, but I'm still unsure. Can anyone provide some insight? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cevap: Axial spondyloarthritis is also referred to as Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). Ankylosing Spondylitis is a chronic, inflammatory type of arthritis that affects the spine and the sacroiliac joints. It is a type of spondyloarthritis, meaning that it affects the joints in the spine as well as other joints in the body. It is a progressive disease that can cause severe pain and stiffness in the back, neck, and other areas of the body. The exact cause of Ankylosing Spondylitis is unknown, but it is believed to have a genetic component. It can be triggered by environmental factors such as infection or trauma. Answer: Axial spondyloarthritis, or axSpA, is a type of arthritis that affects the spine, sacroiliac joints, and other areas of the body. It is also referred to as ankylosing spondylitis, since it can lead to the chronic inflammation of the spine and the fusion of the vertebrae together. Other symptoms associated with axSpA include pain and stiffness in the back, neck, and other areas, as well as fatigue, eye inflammation, and arthritis of other joints. People with axSpA can manage the disease with medication, lifestyle changes, and physical therapy.
