I am looking for help understanding what the most common bone sarcoma of childhood is. I know that it is a type of cancer, but I do not know very much else about it. I would be very grateful for any information or resources anyone can provide about this type of cancer. Does anyone have any experience with this type of cancer in children or know of a good resource I can look into? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The most common bone sarcoma of childhood is Ewing's sarcoma. It is a rare cancer that typically affects the bones or soft tissue around the bones, but can also occur in other parts of the body. It is most commonly seen in adolescents or young adults, and is more common in males than females. Treatment usually consists of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and in some cases, surgery may be necessary to remove the tumor. It is important to catch Ewing's sarcoma early, as survival rates are higher when it is diagnosed early.

Osteosarcoma typically develops in the bones of the arms and legs, most commonly around the knee, and it can spread to other areas of the body such as the lungs. The cause of osteosarcoma is not known, but certain genetic conditions, exposure to certain chemicals, and radiation have been linked to the disease.
