Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help understanding one of the first noticeable symptoms of autism. I'm trying to understand this condition better as I'm worried about a family member. Does anyone have any insight into this? Is there any advice that could help me learn more? Any help would be much appreciated.

One of the first signs of autism typically seen in young children is difficulty with social communication and interaction. This can include difficulty with eye contact, body language, and understanding the emotions of others. Other early signs of autism can include difficulty regulating emotions, limited speech or language skills, and repetitive behaviors such as hand flapping, rocking, or spinning. Early diagnosis and intervention are key to helping children with autism reach their fullest potential.

One of the first noticeable symptoms of autism is difficulty with social interaction. This can manifest as an inability to make eye contact, difficulty initiating conversations, or difficulty responding to social cues. Additionally, those on the autism spectrum may find it difficult to empathize with others or understand social norms. They may also have difficulty in displaying or understanding nonverbal communication, such as facial expressions or body language. Those with autism may also show a preference for solitary activities and have difficulty forming relationships with others.

People with autism may have difficulty making eye contact, have trouble understanding facial expressions, and have difficulty understanding or expressing their own emotions. Additionally, they may experience difficulty in initiating or maintaining conversations and have difficulty understanding the perspectives of others. One of the first noticeable symptoms of autism is difficulty with communication. People with autism often have difficulty expressing their needs, feelings, and thoughts both verbally and nonverbally. They may also have difficulty understanding and interpreting communication from others. They may have difficulty initiating conversation, maintain eye contact, or use gestures and facial expressions. Additionally, they may have difficulty with changes in routine or may be overly focused on certain topics or interests.

Other early signs of autism can include difficulty with social interactions, such as not responding to their name, avoiding eye contact, not wanting to be held or cuddled, and not pointing at objects to show interest. They may also not understand personal space boundaries, have difficulty understanding and following instructions, and have difficulty playing with others.

In some cases, people with autism may demonstrate repetitive behaviors, such as rocking, spinning, or hand flapping. They may also show a resistance to change in routine and an intense interest in certain topics or activities. It is important to note that these behaviors may be more subtle in some cases and may not be as easily noticed at first.
