MS stands for multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system. It is an autoimmune disease, meaning the body’s immune system attacks its own cells. Symptoms of MS can vary from person to person, but can include muscle weakness, vision problems, fatigue, and difficulty with balance and coordination. Treatment for MS is aimed at slowing the progression of the disease and managing symptoms. There is currently no cure for MS, but treatments have improved significantly in recent years and many people with MS are able to live full and active lives.

MS stands for multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disorder of the central nervous system that affects the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. It is caused by damage to the protective myelin sheath that covers nerve cells, resulting in various neurological symptoms. These can include muscle weakness, muscle spasms, numbness and tingling, difficulty with coordination and balance, blurred vision, fatigue and depression. Treatment usually involves managing symptoms and slowing the progression of the disease. While there is currently no cure for MS, research is ongoing to better understand the cause and develop new treatments.
