What does Jesus Resemble?
The Bible is full of descriptions of Jesus, and many of these descriptions give us insight into what Jesus looks like. While the Bible doesn't provide us with a definitive answer as to what Jesus resembles, there are several passages that hint at what He may look like.
Appearance
The Bible states that Jesus was “full of grace and truth” (John 1:14) and that He had a “kind face” (Matthew 17:2). He also had a beard, which was described as being “well trimmed” (Isaiah 50:6).
Personality
In addition to physical descriptions of Jesus, the Bible also contains descriptions of His personality. He was described as humble and compassionate (Matthew 11:29), courageous (Matthew 26:53-54), and wise (Matthew 7:29). He also had a great sense of humor and was known to be a great teacher (John 8:1-2).
Clothing
The Bible does not provide an exact description of what Jesus wore, but it does give us some clues. We know that He wore a tunic, a cloak, and a belt (Mark 1:6). He also wore sandals (Mark 6:9).
Hair
The Bible does not provide an exact description of Jesus’ hair, but it does tell us that it was “like wool” (Revelation 1:14). This could mean that it was either white or light in color.
Overall, Jesus is described as being a kind, compassionate, and wise man who was humble and courageous. He was well-groomed and wore a tunic, a cloak, a belt, and sandals. His hair was described as being “like wool.” While the Bible does not provide us with a definitive answer as to what Jesus resembles, these descriptions give us a good idea of what He may look like.
