I'm having trouble understanding what 'benign' means when it comes to describing a tooth. Could anyone please help me understand what this means? I'm trying to learn more about teeth and dental health but I'm not sure what 'benign' means in this context. Is it something to be worried about? Are there treatments, or is it more of a precautionary measure? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Benign, when referring to the teeth, means non-cancerous. It is an adjective used to describe a condition or a growth that is not cancerous or life-threatening. Benign tumors or growths in the teeth are usually caused by trauma, infection, or decay and are often treated with minor dental procedures.
