"Hi everyone, I'm new here and I have a question about what a damaged pancreas feels like. I know that it can cause a lot of health issues, but I'm wondering what the physical symptoms are. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge that they can share? I would really appreciate any advice and support.

A damaged pancreas can cause a variety of symptoms, depending on the severity of the damage and the underlying cause. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and unexplained weight loss. Diabetes can also develop when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin to regulate blood sugar levels.

Abdominal Pain

One of the most common symptoms of a damaged pancreas is abdominal pain. The pain may be located in the upper abdomen, near the sternum, or in the lower abdomen, near the navel. The pain may be dull or sharp, and it can range from mild to severe.

Nausea and Vomiting

Another common symptom of a damaged pancreas is nausea and vomiting. The nausea and vomiting may come on suddenly and may be accompanied by abdominal pain.

Unexplained Weight Loss

Unexplained weight loss is also a symptom of a damaged pancreas. This type of weight loss is generally rapid and is caused by malabsorption of nutrients due to the damaged pancreas.

Diabetes

Diabetes is a common symptom of a damaged pancreas. When the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin, blood sugar levels can become dangerously high. This can lead to fatigue, blurred vision, increased thirst, and other symptoms.
