Is 70% alcohol stronger than 90

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this question: Is 70% alcohol stronger than 90%? I'm a bit confused on this and would really appreciate some help from someone with more knowledge about alcohol than I have. I know that the higher the percentage, the more alcohol is in the solution, but I'm not sure how that affects the strength.

Yes, 70% alcohol is stronger than 90%. 70% alcohol is more concentrated, so it has a higher alcohol content. 70% alcohol is composed of 70 parts of alcohol and 30 parts of water, while 90% alcohol is composed of 90 parts of alcohol and 10 parts of water. Therefore, 70% alcohol has a higher concentration of alcohol than 90%, making it stronger.

The answer to this question is that 70% alcohol is not necessarily stronger than 90%. The strength of a particular alcohol solution depends on the type of alcohol used and the amount of water added to the solution.

For example, if both a 70% and a 90% alcohol solution are made from the same type of alcohol, then the 70% solution will have more alcohol than the 90% solution. This is because the 90% solution is made up of a higher proportion of water than the 70% solution.

However, it is important to note that the higher the percentage of alcohol in a solution, the more concentrated the alcohol is, and therefore the more potent it will be. So, if a 90% alcohol solution was made from a stronger type of alcohol, such as Everclear, it could potentially be stronger than the 70% solution.

Ultimately, it is difficult to say which solution is stronger without knowing the type of alcohol used and the proportion of water added to the solution.

Yes, 70% alcohol is stronger than 90%. 70% alcohol is a higher concentration of alcohol than 90%, meaning there is more of it in a given quantity. This means that it has the potential to be more effective in killing bacteria and germs than 90% alcohol, and it also evaporates more quickly, so it dries faster on surfaces. In terms of safety, however, 90% alcohol is still the better option as it is less flammable, making it less of a fire hazard.

Yes, 70% alcohol is stronger than 90%. This is because the higher the percentage of alcohol, the more potent it is. 70% is stronger than 90% because it contains a higher concentration of alcohol.
