Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping to get some help. I'm interested in finding out how many people in the world have an AVM (arteriovenous malformation). Does anyone here have any knowledge or experience with this condition? Any information or resources that could help me understand more about it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Genellikle, her yaş grubunda 0,1-0,5% oranında ortaya çıkan AVM'ler, tüm dünyada yaklaşık 1,5 milyon insanı etkilemektedir.

It is not possible to accurately estimate how many people in the world have an AVM. An AVM, or arteriovenous malformation, is a type of birth defect in which abnormal vessels form between the arteries and veins causing a disruption in normal blood circulation. This condition is rare and difficult to diagnose, and there are no reliable global studies that provide an exact number of those affected. However, it is estimated that about 200,000 people in the United States have an AVM.

Approximately 1 in 100 people are believed to have an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). However, due to the difficulty in diagnosing AVM, this is likely to be an underestimate. Globally, AVMs are estimated to affect around 0.4-0.5% of the population, or 24-30 million people. This number is expected to be higher in certain regions, especially in areas with a higher prevalence of genetic disorders.

The exact number of people in the world who have an AVM is difficult to determine, as the condition is often asymptomatic and does not always require medical treatment. However, it is estimated that between 1-2% of the population have an AVM.

An AVM, or arteriovenous malformation, is an abnormal connection between the arteries and veins of the body. It can occur in any part of the body, but is most commonly found in the brain or spinal cord. AVMs can cause a variety of symptoms, including seizures, weakness, and changes in speech or vision.

AVMs can be caused by genetic mutations or acquired through trauma or infection. Risk factors for developing an AVM include having a family history of the condition, being over the age of 40, and having certain medical conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes.

AVMs can be treated with medications, surgery, or radiation therapy. Treatment depends on the size and location of the AVM, as well as the symptoms the patient is experiencing.

Overall, it is estimated that between 1-2% of the population has an AVM, though the exact number is difficult to determine. Treatment for AVMs varies depending on the size and location of the malformation, as well as the patient's symptoms.

Answer: According to a study conducted in 2019, it is estimated that around 1 in 500 people have an AVM, meaning that approximately 60 million people worldwide have an AVM. However, this number is likely to be higher due to the difficulty of diagnosing AVMs. Therefore, it is difficult to give an exact number of people who have an AVM. Treatment options for AVM patients vary, depending on the size and location of the AVM.

The exact number of people in the world with an AVM is difficult to determine. However, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, it is estimated that about 200,000 people in the United States alone may have an AVM. As AVM prevalence is higher in some regions than others, it is likely that the global total is much higher.
