Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I was hoping to get some help with a question I have about Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. I wanted to know how many cases of this condition occur each year? I'm not sure where to find this information and I would really appreciate any advice anyone has on this topic.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a rare but serious condition in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys healthy red blood cells (RBCs). It is estimated that AIHA affects about 1 in every 100,000 people in the United States. The exact number of cases of AIHA is not known, as the condition is often underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed. However, it is thought that AIHA may affect up to 10-20% of patients with a variety of autoimmune diseases, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjögren's syndrome. AIHA can also be a complication of certain infections or medications.

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a rare form of anemia that occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys healthy red blood cells. AIHA affects between 1 and 5 people per million each year. AIHA is more common in women than men, and is often seen in people with certain conditions, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and infections. AIHA can range from mild to life-threatening, depending on the severity of the red blood cell destruction. Treatment for AIHA typically involves medications to suppress the immune system and prevent further destruction of red blood cells, as well as a blood transfusion if necessary.

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a rare but serious blood disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys its own red blood cells. The exact number of cases of AIHA is unknown, as it is often underdiagnosed due to its rarity and lack of awareness. However, some estimates suggest that AIHA affects around 1 in 50,000 people worldwide. Furthermore, AIHA is more common in certain age groups and genders; it is most commonly seen in middle-aged adults and women, and is more common in Caucasians than other ethnicities.

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia is a rare disorder, but it is estimated that approximately 1 out of every 100,000 people are affected by it. Symptoms can vary in severity, and the best course of treatment will be determined by a healthcare professional.
