I'm a bit worried and need some advice. Has anyone had experience with a benign tumor recurrence? I'm looking for information on how common recurrence is and what the chances are of a benign tumor coming back. I'd really appreciate any help or advice from anyone who has had a similar experience. Thanks in advance.

Benign Tumor: What Is It?
Subtitle Forum

A benign tumor is a mass of abnormal cells that do not spread to other parts of the body. Benign tumors can appear in any organ, but they are most common in the skin, breast, and other soft tissues. Benign tumors are usually not life-threatening and can be surgically removed.

Does a Benign Tumor Recur?
Subtitle Forum

Yes, benign tumors can recur. Recurrence means that the tumor has returned after it was previously removed. In some cases, benign tumors can become cancerous, so it is important to monitor for signs of recurrence. The risk of recurrence depends on the type of tumor, its location, and how completely it was removed. Regular check-ups with a doctor can help to detect any recurrence of the tumor early.

Benign tumors are rarely known to recur. However, if a benign tumor is not completely removed during surgery, it may recur at the same site or spread to nearby tissues. Additionally, some benign tumors, such as those associated with neurofibromatosis, can recur because the condition that caused them is not curable. Therefore, it is important to discuss the potential risks of recurrence with your doctor before and after treatment.

No, benign tumors generally do not recur. Benign tumors are noncancerous growths that do not spread to other parts of the body. Treatment for benign tumors typically involves surgical removal of the tumor, which offers a permanent cure. However, it is possible that a benign tumor may return if the entire tumor is not removed, or if the tumor grows back in the same location. If the tumor does recur, it is usually not malignant and can be surgically removed again.

No, benign tumors do not typically recur. Benign tumors are typically non-cancerous and do not invade nearby tissue. They may be removed surgically and do not require further treatment, unless they are causing discomfort or impeding bodily functions.
