I'm seeking advice and support from people who may have experience with Borderline Personality Disorder. Can someone with BPD be nice? I'm looking for personal experiences, opinions, and advice from those who have dealt with BPD or know someone who has. I want to know if someone with BPD can be kind and compassionate, or if their behavior makes it difficult for them to be nice.

Yes, absolutely! People with BPD are capable of being kind, understanding, and sensitive to other people. They are often incredibly empathetic and intuitive, making them excellent listeners and friends. Even though they may have difficulty regulating their emotions and may have outbursts, this does not mean they don't have the capacity to be kind. However, their kindness may not always be consistent and can often depend on how their symptoms are impacting them on any given day.
