Sports records are broken all the time, with athletes pushing the boundaries of their physical capabilities. The most recent record that was broken was Usain Bolt's 100m record, set in August 2017. His time of 9.58 seconds was 0.11 seconds faster than the previous record, set in 2009. This record is also the world record for the 200m and the 400m, making Bolt the fastest human ever over all three distances. He is truly an inspiration to aspiring athletes the world over, proving that hard work and dedication are rewarded.

In the world of sports, records are made to be broken. Whether it is a long-standing record or one that was set recently, the thrill of witnessing a world record being broken is an adrenaline rush for fans around the world.

Recently, at the World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar, we saw history being made as three world records were broken. The first record to be broken was the women’s 400m hurdles, as the USA’s Dalilah Muhammad smashed the previous mark with a time of 52.16 seconds. This was her fourth world title in the event, and her time was 0.12 seconds faster than the previous record.

Next up was Kenya’s Samuel Tefera, who broke the 1500m record with a time of 3 minutes, 29.26 seconds. This was the second fastest time ever run in the event, and it was 0.14 seconds faster than the previous record. Lastly, Kenya’s Beatrice Chepkoech smashed the 3000m steeplechase record with a time of 8 minutes, 44.32 seconds. This was the fourth fastest time ever run in the event, and it was 0.41 seconds faster than the previous record.

These three incredible records have shown that even after decades of athletic excellence, there is still room to push the boundaries and break records. It is inspiring to see athletes focus on their goals and achieve something that has never been done before. As fans, we can look forward to more records being broken in the future and celebrate the achievements of those who push the limits of human potential.
