I'm trying to understand why it's called the Big Five personality and would love to hear from anyone who knows more about it. Can anyone explain why it's called the Big Five? Has it always been known by this name or is there a specific reason why it's named this way? Are there other theories that are similar or related to the Big Five personality theory?
