I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I recently heard about rhinitis, but I'm not sure why it's called that. Can anyone explain what it means and why it's called rhinitis? I'd really appreciate any insight or information anyone can offer. I'd love to learn more about what it is and why it's called rhinitis.

Rhinitis is a medical term for inflammation of the mucous membrane that lines the nose. It can be caused by a variety of things, including allergies, viral infections, and irritants. The term is derived from the Greek words rhino (nose) and itis (inflammation). Symptoms of rhinitis include a runny nose, sneezing, and congestion. In some cases, it can cause headaches and facial pain. Treatment of rhinitis depends on the cause, but may include antihistamines, decongestants, and nasal sprays.
