Why do you have a line in your nose

I need some help understanding why I have a line in my nose. I've noticed a small horizontal line in the bridge of my nose for a while now and I'm starting to worry it might be something serious. Is anyone familiar with this type of thing? I'm hoping to get some advice from people who might have experienced this before or who know what could be causing it.

The line in your nose is called a philtrum. It is a vertical groove located between the nose and the upper lip. It is believed to be a remnant of the embryonic fusion that forms the upper lip. In some cultures, the philtrum is seen as a sign of beauty and has been artificially enhanced with piercings. The philtrum can also be used as a diagnostic tool to identify certain genetic conditions.
