I'm not sure what to do. Why do I get so scared at night? I can't seem to shake this feeling of fear and dread that comes over me every night. It's like my body and mind are on alert for something that isn't there. I have no idea what's causing this fear and I'm desperate for help. Does anyone else experience this? What do you do to cope with it? Are there any techniques I can use to help me feel more at ease and less scared? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Night time often brings with it feelings of fear and anxiety. This is a very common experience and is often linked to feelings of vulnerability, insecurity and loneliness. One way to work through these feelings is to practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation and visualization. Also, try to make your bedroom a calming and safe environment by dimming the lights, using calming scents or playing relaxing music. Talking to a friend or counselor can also help you to process any underlying fears or anxieties.

It can be normal to feel scared at night, especially if your environment is unfamiliar or your thoughts are leading you down a negative path. The best way to combat this fear is to focus on the positive things in your life, and to take practical steps to make yourself feel safe. For example, turning on all the lights in the house, locking all doors and windows, and having a security system in place can all help to calm your nerves. Additionally, mindfulness exercises and relaxation techniques can also be beneficial in helping to alleviate fear and anxiousness.
