The most common treatment for an abscess is to drain the pus and allow the wound to heal. This can be done at home with a warm compress, or surgically in a hospital setting. Antibiotics may also be prescribed to help fight the infection.
Why Do I Get an Abscess Every Month?
If you are getting an abscess every month, it is important to visit your doctor to identify the underlying cause. It may be caused by an underlying chronic condition, such as diabetes, that requires treatment. Other causes could include an infection that requires antibiotics, or a blocked sweat gland that needs to be unblocked.
