Allergic Reactions at Night
Many people suffer from allergies that are triggered at night, making it difficult to sleep and making them feel miserable. Allergy symptoms can range from congestion and sneezing to itchy eyes and skin, and they can be caused by a variety of allergens such as dust mites, pet dander, and pollen.

Why Do Allergies Kick In at Night?
While the exact cause of allergies is not known, there are a few factors that are thought to be responsible for allergies kicking in at night. One of these is the decrease in temperature and increase in humidity that usually occurs at night. This can cause allergens such as pollen and dust mites to become more active.

Another factor is the body's natural rhythms. During the day, the body's immune system is more active and is better able to fight off allergens. At night, however, the body's immune system slows down and is less able to fight off allergens, making it easier for allergies to take hold.

Finally, some people may also be more sensitive to allergens at night due to the lack of light. Darkness can make allergens more potent, as some allergens such as mold release more spores in the dark.

Tips for Dealing With Allergies at Night
Although allergies can be difficult to deal with, there are a few things that you can do to help make them more manageable.

The first is to keep your bedroom as clean and allergen-free as possible. Vacuum and dust regularly, and keep pets out of the bedroom. Additionally, you can use a HEPA filter in your bedroom to help reduce the presence of allergens.

It can also help to take an antihistamine before bed, as this can help reduce the body's reaction to allergens. Additionally, taking a hot shower or bath before bed can help clear your nasal passages and make it easier to breathe.

Finally, try to get as much rest as possible. Allergies can make it difficult to sleep, but getting enough rest can help you feel better and reduce the severity of your symptoms.

By following these tips, you can help reduce the impact of allergies at night and get a better night's sleep.
