Why am I so shy and introverted

I'm feeling really overwhelmed right now and I'm not sure how to cope with it. I'm shy and introverted and it's starting to affect my life. I'm having trouble making friends and connecting with people, and I'm feeling more and more isolated. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to break out of my shell and become more outgoing? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Introverted Personality

Many people are naturally introverted, meaning they prefer solitary activities and get exhausted by social interactions. Introversion is often seen as synonymous with shyness, but that is not necessarily the case. Being shy can include feeling nervous, self-conscious, and inhibited around others, while being introverted is more about, simply, preferring less stimulating environments.

The Causes of Shyness and Introversion

There are a variety of reasons why someone may be shy or introverted. It can be caused by genetics, a traumatic experience, or a tendency to be overly self-critical. Shyness and introversion can also be caused by environmental factors such as a lack of social interaction.

Overcoming Shyness and Introversion

Although shyness and introversion can be difficult to overcome, there are some strategies that can help. These include self-reflection, developing a positive attitude, practicing relaxation techniques, and seeking out social situations. It can also be helpful to talk to a therapist or counselor to gain insight into the underlying causes of shyness and introversion.
