The Region Prophet Jesus Was Sent To
As recorded in the Bible, Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was sent to the region known as Palestine. Palestine was the land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, located in the Middle East. It was part of the ancient land of Canaan, which was inhabited by several cultures, including the Canaanites, Amorites, and Philistines.
When Prophet Jesus was sent, it was under Roman rule. The lands were divided into the provinces of Judea, Samaria, and Galilee, and the people were subject to Roman rule. Prophet Jesus' ministry was focused on teaching the people of these lands about the kingdom of God, as well as to demonstrate God's power and love.
Prophet Jesus was born in Bethlehem, located in the province of Judea. He spent much of his ministry in Galilee, the northernmost region of Palestine. During his travels, he visited many places in both Judea and Galilee, such as Capernaum, Jerusalem, and Bethany.
Prophet Jesus' ministry was focused on teaching the people of Palestine about the kingdom of God, as well as to demonstrate God's power and love. He performed many miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, and turning water into wine. He also taught about forgiveness, humility, and love.
Prophet Jesus was eventually crucified in Jerusalem, located in the province of Judea. His death marked the beginning of a new era in Christianity, and his teachings still guide Christians today.
