"Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I'm curious to know which of the stages of development of acute mechanical asphyxia is the initial one? I've been reading about the four stages, but I'm still not sure which one comes first.

The initial stage of acute mechanical asphyxia is the "compression" stage. During this stage, the airway is compressed, causing a decrease in oxygen and an increase in carbon dioxide concentrations. This can lead to a variety of symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, dizziness, and confusion. If not treated immediately, this stage can lead to unconsciousness and death. The other stages of acute mechanical asphyxia are the "release" stage, the "post-release" stage, and the "recovery" stage.
