Hi everyone,

I'm looking for help understanding which doctor specializes in treating gum cancer. I was recently diagnosed with gum cancer and I'm not sure which type of doctor I should be seeing for treatment. I've been doing some research online, but I'm still not sure what kind of specialist I should be seeing. Can anyone help me out? Are there any doctors out there who specialize in gum cancer treatment? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Subtitle: Who treats gum cancer?

Gum cancer is a rare type of cancer that affects the tissues of the gums. It can be difficult to detect and diagnose, so it is important to be aware of the signs and symptoms and to seek medical attention if you think you may have gum cancer. Treatment for gum cancer typically involves surgery and radiation therapy, and the doctor who specializes in treating this type of cancer is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeon: An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a doctor who specializes in treating cancers of the mouth, jaws, and gums. They are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from dental problems to facial surgery. In the case of gum cancer, they are responsible for diagnosing the condition and then performing the necessary surgery to remove the tumor and any affected tissue. They may also use radiation therapy or chemotherapy to treat the cancer.
