Which assessment finding is most indicative of fetal distress

I am a student midwife and I am trying to understand which assessment finding is most indicative of fetal distress. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge they could share about this topic? What signs should I look out for during an assessment that could indicate fetal distress? Are there any other tests that can provide more detailed information? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cevap:
The most indicative assessment finding of fetal distress is a non-reassuring fetal heart rate (FHR) pattern. This can include an FHR that has consistently decreased in variability, increased or decreased in rate, or has a mixture of repetitive late decelerations and variable decelerations. Another finding that can indicate fetal distress is abnormal amniotic fluid index (AFI) results. Abnormal changes in the AFI can include decreased or increased fluid levels.
