Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me with a question I have about the cross on which Jesus was crucified. I've done some research but I'm having difficulty finding a definitive answer. Where is the cross on which Jesus was crucified? Is it still in existence or has it been destroyed? I'd be very interested to hear what other people know about this topic or if anyone knows where I can find more information.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The cross used for Jesus' crucifixion is believed to have been made of wood. Some accounts suggest that the cross may have been made of olive wood, while others suggest it was made of cypress. The cross was likely between nine and twelve feet in length. It is said that after Jesus' crucifixion, his cross was divided between three different churches. The exact location of the cross on which Jesus was crucified is not known for certain. Most scholars agree that Jesus was likely crucified on the hill known as Golgotha, or Calvary. This hill is located outside the walls of ancient Jerusalem, and many believe it was located near the Garden Tomb, a rock-cut tomb that is often thought to be the burial site of Jesus. Although the exact location of Golgotha is not known, many Christians consider it to be a holy site and visit it in pilgrimage.
