When does rhinitis stop

Does anyone have any experience with rhinitis and know when it typically stops? I'm experiencing a lot of irritation and congestion in my nose and have been for a few weeks now. I'm not sure if this is a sign of a more serious problem, or if it will eventually go away on its own. I'd appreciate any advice or tips from anyone who has gone through something similar.

Rhinitis, also known as "hay fever," is an inflammation of the mucous membranes of the nose. It is a common allergic condition that can lead to a range of symptoms, including sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose, and congestion. Depending on the cause, rhinitis can be short-term (acute) or long-term (chronic).

Symptoms of Rhinitis

The most common symptoms of rhinitis include sneezing, an itchy nose, runny nose, and congestion. Other symptoms can include itchy eyes, sore throat, fatigue, and headaches. Depending on the cause, symptoms may be worse at certain times of day, such as in the morning or at night.

Types of Rhinitis

There are two main types of rhinitis: allergic rhinitis and non-allergic rhinitis. Allergic rhinitis is caused by an allergic reaction, such as to pollen, pet dander, or dust mites. Non-allergic rhinitis is caused by irritants such as smoke, strong odors, or cold air.

Treating Rhinitis

The treatment for rhinitis depends on the cause. Allergic rhinitis can be treated with antihistamines, decongestants, nasal sprays, and/or allergy shots. Non-allergic rhinitis can be treated with nasal sprays, decongestants, and/or avoidance of triggers. In some cases, surgery may be necessary.

When Does Rhinitis Stop?

Rhinitis usually resolves when the underlying cause is treated. If the cause is an allergy, then avoiding the allergen and taking the appropriate medications can help reduce symptoms. If the cause is an irritant, then avoiding the irritant and taking the appropriate medications can help reduce symptoms. In some cases, surgery may be necessary.
