Hello, I'm hoping to get some help from other forum users. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced Paget's disease of the nipple, and if so, what were your symptoms? I recently found out I have this condition, and I'm curious to know what other people experienced. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Symptoms of Paget's Disease of the Nipple

Paget's disease of the nipple is an uncommon form of breast cancer that affects the skin of the nipple and the areola (the dark area of skin around the nipple). The most common symptom of Paget's disease of the nipple is a red, scaly, or crusted patch of skin on the nipple or around the areola. Other symptoms can include:

Itching: Itching or burning sensation of the nipple or areola.

Discharge: A yellow, bloody, or clear discharge from the nipple.

Pain: Pain or tenderness in the nipple or areola.

Lump: A lump or thickening in the area around the nipple.

Skin Changes: Thickening or hardening of the skin of the nipple or areola.

It is important to note that these symptoms can be caused by other conditions besides Paget's disease of the nipple, so it is important to see your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. Your doctor will be able to diagnose and treat the condition properly.

My symptoms of Paget's disease of the nipple were initially quite mild and began with skin changes around my nipple. I noticed that the skin around my nipple had become red, scaly, and inflamed. Over time, the area around my nipple began to thicken and become raised, and I also experienced itching and burning. The nipple itself began to look flattened and deformed. The areola also became enlarged and began to show signs of crusting. As the condition worsened, I noticed that the nipple had begun to secrete a bloody, yellowish fluid. I also developed a lump in the areola that was very tender and painful to the touch. Lastly, I experienced extreme pain and discomfort when I tried to breastfeed. All of these symptoms were an indication that I was suffering from Paget's disease of the nipple.

The most common symptom of Paget's disease of the nipple is a red, scaly, or crusty area of skin on the nipple and surrounding areola. Other symptoms may include itching, burning, pain, and a discharge from the nipple. In some cases, the nipple may even become inverted, and the areola may become larger. In more advanced cases, a lump may form that is usually visible and palpable. Patients may also experience swollen lymph nodes in the armpit. If you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

My symptoms of Paget's disease of the nipple included a red and scaly rash around the nipple and a thickening of the areola skin. I also experienced itching, burning, and pain. The nipple itself became crusted and dry and I had discharge from the nipple. As the condition progressed, I noticed that the nipple became flattened, and the areola was indented. I also had a lump in the breast near the nipple. As the condition worsened, I had redness, warmth, and swelling in my armpit and chest wall.
