Hi everyone,

I recently found out that I have Addison's disease and I'm trying to learn more about it. I'm wondering if anyone can share their experiences with me and tell me what their first symptoms of Addison's were. I know this is a rare condition, but I would really appreciate it if anyone can share their stories with me.

Symptoms of Addison's Disease

Addison's disease is a rare endocrine disorder that affects the adrenal glands and their ability to produce hormones. It is characterized by a wide range of symptoms that can range from mild to severe. Common symptoms of Addison's disease include fatigue, muscle weakness, weight loss, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, darkening of the skin, cravings for salty foods, and mood changes.

Fatigue: Fatigue is one of the most common early symptoms of Addison's disease, and it can be both physical and mental. Affected individuals may experience a significant increase in fatigue, or they may find themselves feeling tired even after getting adequate rest.

Muscle Weakness: Muscle weakness and pain are also common symptoms of Addison's disease, as the lack of hormones can cause the muscles to become weak and easily fatigued.

Weight Loss: Unexplained weight loss is another common symptom of Addison's disease, as the body's metabolism can become slowed down due to the lack of hormones.

Low Blood Pressure: Low blood pressure is also a common symptom of Addison's disease, as the body's production of hormones can lead to decreased blood pressure.

Low Blood Sugar: Low blood sugar is another common symptom of Addison's disease, as the decreased hormone production can lead to decreased levels of glucose in the blood.

Darkening of the Skin: Darkening of the skin is also a common symptom of Addison's disease, as the lack of hormones can cause the skin to become darker in color.

Cravings for Salty Foods: Cravings for salty foods are also common in individuals with Addison's disease, as the lack of hormones can cause the body to crave salt as a means of compensating for the lack of hormones.

Mood Changes: Mood swings and other changes in mood are also common in individuals with Addison's disease, as the lack of hormones can lead to changes in the individual's emotional state.

My first symptoms of Addison's disease were extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, and weight loss. I also had darkening of the skin in areas exposed to the sun, abdominal pain, and low blood pressure. I had difficulty sleeping and felt weak and dizzy. I also had difficulty concentrating and remembering things, and I was always feeling anxious and irritable. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Addison's disease, and now I'm taking medication to manage my symptoms.

My first symptom of Addison's disease was a sudden onset of extreme fatigue. I felt like I had no energy, no matter how much sleep I got. I also had a noticeable loss of appetite and was losing weight without really trying. My skin became noticeably darker, and I had a fever that wouldn't go away. I went to the doctor and was eventually diagnosed with Addison's disease.

A: My first symptoms of Addison's disease included extreme fatigue, low blood pressure, muscle weakness, weight loss, lack of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, and darkening of the skin in certain areas. I also experienced dizziness, joint pain, and extreme mood swings. I had difficulty concentrating, and I began to experience intense cravings for salt. I also experienced irregular menstrual cycles in women, as well as increased pigmentation of the skin. All of these symptoms were concerning, and I immediately sought medical attention.

My first symptom of Addison's disease was severe depression.

I had been struggling with low energy levels for months prior to my diagnosis, but it wasn't until I experienced a deep and prolonged period of sadness that I realized something was wrong. I eventually sought medical help and was diagnosed with Addison's disease, a condition that affects the adrenal glands.
