Liver pain typically begins in the upper right abdominal area, and can range from a dull ache to a sharp, stabbing sensation. It can be worse when taking deep breaths or moving around. It is important to note that liver pain can often be confused with other types of abdominal pain, so it is best to seek medical advice if you experience any pain in this area. In some cases, liver pain may be an indication of a serious underlying issue, such as liver disease, so it is important to always seek medical attention if you are concerned.

Liver pain can start at different stages depending on the cause. If the pain is caused by a liver infection, such as hepatitis, it can start as early as the first few days of infection. For a liver disease like cirrhosis, liver pain may start in the later stages when scar tissue begins to form. Liver pain can also begin if there is a tumor or blockage in the liver. Generally, liver pain is dull and may be accompanied by other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or jaundice. If you experience any type of liver pain, it is important to see a doctor as soon as possible.

It depends on the cause of the liver pain. If the cause is a liver infection, the pain may start gradually with mild discomfort that may progress to sharp pains. If the cause is a blockage of the bile duct, the pain may start suddenly as a severe pain in the right upper abdomen. If the cause is a liver tumor, the pain may start as a dull ache that gradually worsens. It is important to be aware of any abdominal pain that persists and to seek medical attention to determine the cause.
