"Hi everyone,

I have severe allergies and I'm looking for advice on what I should avoid. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations on what I can do to manage my allergies? For example, what types of food should I stay away from? What other environmental factors should I be aware of? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Peanuts: Peanuts are a common cause of food allergies, and they can cause serious reactions in some people. Avoid all foods that contain peanuts, including peanut butter, peanut butter cookies, and other products that contain peanuts.

Tree Nuts: Tree nuts, such as walnuts, almonds, cashews, pistachios, and macadamia nuts, are another common cause of food allergies. Avoid all foods that contain tree nuts, including nut butters, nut pastes, and other products that contain tree nuts.

Shellfish: Shellfish, such as shrimp, lobster, crab, and clams, can cause serious allergic reactions in some people. Avoid all foods that contain shellfish, including certain types of sushi and other seafood dishes.

Dairy: Dairy products, such as milk, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream, can cause allergic reactions in some people. Avoid all foods that contain dairy, including milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, and other dairy-based products.

Eggs: Eggs can cause allergic reactions in some people. Avoid all foods that contain eggs, including scrambled eggs, omelets, and other egg-based dishes.

Soy: Soy is a common allergen, and it can cause serious allergic reactions in some people. Avoid all foods that contain soy, including soy sauce, tofu, and other soy-based products.

Wheat: Wheat is another common allergen, and it can cause serious allergic reactions in some people. Avoid all foods that contain wheat, including bread, pasta, and other wheat-based products.

Other Things to Avoid

In addition to avoiding certain foods, there are other things to avoid if you have allergies. Avoiding dust, pet dander, pollen, and other allergens can help reduce your risk of an allergic reaction. Make sure to keep your home clean and free of dust and other allergens. Also, wear a mask when outdoors to protect against pollen and other allergens.
