Hey everyone,

I'm looking for help with understanding Jesus' lineage. I'm curious to know what lineage Jesus was from, and I'm hoping to get some help from other forum users who may know more about the topic. Does anyone have any knowledge or resources related to Jesus' ancestry that they could share? I'd really appreciate any help or advice that anyone can provide.

Jesus is traditionally believed to be from the lineage of King David, through both Joseph and Mary. According to the New Testament, Jesus is the "Son of David" and the "descendant of Abraham" (Matthew 1:1, Luke 1:31-33).

Lineage of Abraham

The lineage of Abraham is traced back to the Biblical figure of Abraham, who was the father of Isaac and Ishmael. According to the Bible, Abraham was the son of Terah, who was the son of Nahor, who was the son of Serug, who was the son of Reu, who was the son of Peleg, who was the son of Eber, who was the son of Shelah, who was the son of Arpachshad, who was the son of Shem, who was the son of Noah, who was the son of Lamech, who was the son of Methuselah, who was the son of Enoch, who was the son of Jared, who was the son of Mahalalel, who was the son of Cainan, who was the son of Enos, who was the son of Seth, who was the son of Adam, who was the son of God (Genesis 11:26-32).

Lineage of King David

The lineage of King David is traced back to the Biblical figure of David, who was the son of Jesse, who was the son of Obed, who was the son of Boaz, who was the son of Salmon, who was the son of Nahshon, who was the son of Amminadab, who was the son of Ram, who was the son of Hezron, who was the son of Perez, who was the son of Judah, who was the son of Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham, who was the son of Terah, who was the son of Nahor, who was the son of Serug, who was the son of Reu, who was the son of Peleg, who was the son of Eber, who was the son of Shelah, who was the son of Arpachshad, who was the son of Shem, who was the son of Noah, who was the son of Lamech, who was the son of Methuselah, who was the son of Enoch, who was the son of Jared, who was the son of Mahalalel, who was the son of Cainan, who was the son of Enos, who was the son of Seth, who was the son of Adam, who was the son of God (Ruth 4:18-22).

Therefore, Jesus is believed to be from the lineage of both Abraham and King David.

Jesus was from the lineage of King David. He was descended from David through Mary, his mother. Mary was the daughter of Heli, who was a descendant of Nathan, a son of King David. This is recorded in the Gospel of Luke, which states that Jesus is the son of Joseph, who is of the royal house of David. Luke also mentions that Jesus was "the son of Abraham," indicating that he was also descended from Abraham, the father of the Israelites. This lineage is important to many Christians, as it is seen as a sign of divine approval and the fulfillment of God's promise to David to make him the father of a great nation.

Jesus was born a Jew and is descendant of King David through his adoptive father Joseph. He is a member of the House of David, a royal line of Jewish kings descended from King David. The genealogy of Jesus is recorded in the Bible in the gospels of Matthew and Luke. It is believed that Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy and the Messiah in the fulfillment of God's covenant with the people of Israel.

Jesus is from the line of King David. According to the New Testament, Jesus is from the line of King David through both his mother Mary and his adopted father Joseph. Joseph, though not Jesus' biological father, was of the line of King David. Mary, on the other hand, was a direct descendant of King David, making Jesus the legal heir to the throne of King David. Furthermore, Jesus' genealogy is extensively documented in the gospels of Matthew and Luke. According to Matthew, Jesus was from the line of Solomon, the son of King David, while according to Luke's gospel, Jesus was from the line of Nathan, the son of King David. Both genealogies are accepted as being true and accurate.

Jesus was a direct descendant of King David, from the line of the House of Judah. His lineage is found in the New Testament of the Bible, tracing back to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is descended from the tribe of Judah, which is why the title "Son of David" was given to Him.
