What level of anemia is severe

I'm trying to understand what level of anemia is considered severe and if there is anything I can do to help. I've read that anemia is a condition where the body doesn't make enough healthy red blood cells, but I'm not sure what the severity levels mean or how to recognize if someone is at a severe level. Can anyone help me understand what level of anemia is considered severe and what I can do to help someone who might have it? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

The severity of anemia is determined by the concentration of hemoglobin in the blood. Hemoglobin Level

Mild Anemia is defined as a hemoglobin level of 10.0 - 10.9 g/dl in adults.

Moderate Anemia is defined as a hemoglobin level of 8.0 - 9.9 g/dl in adults.

Severe Anemia is defined as a hemoglobin level of less than 8.0 g/dl in adults.

Causes of Severe Anemia

The most common causes of severe anemia include:

- Blood loss due to injury or surgery
- Hemorrhage
- Inadequate production of red blood cells due to bone marrow failure or nutritional deficiencies
- Hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) due to certain medications, infections, or autoimmune disorders
- Inherited disorders such as sickle cell anemia or thalassemia

Treatment for Severe Anemia

Treatment for severe anemia depends on the underlying cause.
