What labs are abnormal in pancreatitis

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to figure out what labs are abnormal in pancreatitis. I've read about some of the more common tests such as amylase and lipase, but I'm not sure what else to look for. I'm also wondering if there are any additional tests that might be useful. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Laboratory Abnormalities in Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis is a condition in which the pancreas becomes inflamed. This can lead to a variety of complications, including abdominal pain and organ failure. To properly diagnose and treat pancreatitis, laboratory tests are often used to assess the severity of the inflammation and identify any underlying conditions.

Liver Enzymes: Elevated levels of liver enzymes, such as ALT and AST, can indicate pancreatitis. These enzymes are released when the pancreas is inflamed.

Amylase: Amylase is an enzyme produced by the pancreas and is often used to diagnose pancreatitis. Elevated levels of amylase are often seen in cases of pancreatitis.

Lipase: Lipase is an enzyme released by the pancreas that helps to digest fats. Elevated levels of lipase are often seen in cases of pancreatitis.

White Blood Cell Count: An elevated white blood cell count is often seen in cases of pancreatitis. This is due to the body's response to inflammation.

Glucose: Glucose levels can be elevated in cases of pancreatitis due to the body's inability to properly process the sugar.

Calcium: Calcium levels can be low in cases of pancreatitis due to the body's inability to absorb the mineral.

Magnesium: Magnesium levels can also be low in cases of pancreatitis due to the body's inability to absorb the mineral.

Phosphorus: Phosphorus levels can also be low in cases of pancreatitis due to the body's inability to absorb the mineral.
