The treatment for type 2 cancer varies depending on the location and stage of the cancer, as well as the patient's overall health. Generally, treatment may involve surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and/or targeted therapy. Surgery is usually the first line of treatment when the cancer is localized and has not spread. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy may be used following surgery if there is evidence of remaining cancer cells. Immunotherapy and targeted therapy may also be used in conjunction with other treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. Ultimately, the best treatment plan for each individual patient will be determined by their doctor, taking into account all of the patient's individual needs.
