Type 2 ADD is a type of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) that is characterized by an inability to focus on tasks, difficulty paying attention, and difficulty completing tasks without becoming distracted. People with Type 2 ADD often find it difficult to concentrate on one thing for a long period of time and may become easily frustrated and overwhelmed when faced with too many tasks or expectations. They may also have trouble organizing tasks and may put off tasks that require sustained effort. Type 2 ADD is usually diagnosed in childhood, but it can persist into adulthood. Treatment often involves medications, therapy, or a combination of both.

Type 2 ADD, also known as inattentive ADD, is a type of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) characterized by difficulties with focus, organization, and impulsivity. Symptoms may include daydreaming, difficulty paying attention, difficulty organizing one’s thoughts, forgetfulness, trouble following instructions, and difficulty controlling emotions. Treatment for this type of disorder typically involves a combination of medication, counseling, and lifestyle changes. Strategies such as setting small goals and breaking tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks can also be helpful in managing the symptoms of Type 2 ADD.

Type 2 ADD is a more recently-defined, less-studied form of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It is characterized by difficulty focusing, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, but without the same level of restlessness and impulsivity seen in Type 1 ADD. People with Type 2 ADD typically struggle with organizing, planning, and following through with tasks or projects, as well as with managing their time and personal relationships. They may also have difficulty managing their emotions, leading to an increased risk of depression and anxiety. Treatment for Type 2 ADD typically involves psychotherapy, medication, and lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and limiting caffeine and sugar intake.
