Hello everyone,

I'm hoping to get some help with understanding the test results for pancreatitis. I recently had a test for pancreatitis and I'm trying to make sense of the results, but I'm having difficulty understanding what they mean. Has anyone else had a similar test? If so, can you tell me what the results mean and what I should be looking out for? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

There are a few different tests that can be used to diagnose pancreatitis, including blood tests, imaging tests, and an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Blood tests can be used to measure levels of the enzymes amylase and lipase, which are normally secreted by the pancreas. Imaging tests, like ultrasound, CT scan, or MRI, can be used to look for changes to the pancreas. An ERCP is a test that uses a thin, flexible tube with a light and camera on the end to see inside of the bile ducts and pancreas. This test can help to diagnose pancreatitis and identify any blockages or abnormalities.
