The medical term for blood poisoning is sepsis. Sepsis occurs when an infection causes your body to react in a severe and overwhelming way. It’s also known as blood poisoning because sepsis can cause the levels of toxins in the blood to increase to dangerous levels. Sepsis can be caused by a bacterial, viral, or fungal infection, and it can be life-threatening if it’s not treated promptly. Symptoms of sepsis include high fever, chills, rapid breathing, low blood pressure, and confusion. If sepsis is suspected, it’s important to seek medical attention immediately. Treatment typically includes intravenous antibiotics to fight the infection, as well as supportive care such as fluid and electrolyte replacement.

The technical term for blood poisoning is sepsis. Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that occurs when the body's response to an infection causes injury to its own tissues and organs. It can cause organ failure and death if not treated quickly. Symptoms of sepsis include fever, increased heart rate, confusion, and difficulty breathing. It can be caused by a variety of bacterial, viral, or fungal infections. Diagnosis is typically based on a combination of physical examination, laboratory tests, and imaging studies. Treatment usually involves antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and other supportive care. Early diagnosis and treatment is crucial for a good outcome.

Blood poisoning, also known as sepsis, is a serious medical condition caused by the body's response to an infection. It occurs when the body's immune system goes into overdrive and releases chemicals into the bloodstream to fight the infection, which can lead to widespread inflammation, organ failure, and even death. Symptoms of blood poisoning include fever, chills, rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, and confusion. Treatment depends on the severity of the infection, and may include antibiotics, fluids, and supportive care. It is important to seek medical attention immediately if you suspect you have sepsis.

Blood poisoning, also known as sepsis, is a life-threatening condition in which bacteria enter the bloodstream and spread throughout the body. It can cause serious damage to major organs, and even death if not treated quickly. Sepsis occurs when the body's response to an infection sets off a chain reaction of inflammation throughout the body. Symptoms of sepsis can include fever, chills, rapid breathing, and confusion. Treatment for sepsis involves antibiotics, fluids, and sometimes surgery to remove any infected tissue. The earlier sepsis is diagnosed and treated, the better the chances of survival.
