I am looking for some help understanding the survival time for pancreatic cancer. Has anyone out there had any experience with this type of cancer? I am interested to know what kind of treatment options exist, and if there are any promising new developments. Also, what are the average survival rates for pancreatic cancer patients? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Cevap: Survival time for pancreatic cancer varies depending on the stage at which it is diagnosed and the treatment received. Generally, the five-year survival rate for all stages of pancreatic cancer combined is about 10%. The one-year survival rate is 20-25%, and the five-year survival rate is 3-5%. Patients diagnosed in the early stages of the disease have a better prognosis, with a five-year survival rate of up to 20%. Patients who receive chemotherapy and radiation after surgery may have a better chance of survival than those who receive only one of these treatments.
