Personality Disorders
Personality disorders are mental health conditions that can affect a person's thoughts, emotions, and behavior. They are usually long-lasting and can cause problems in a person's life, including at work or in relationships. The most common personality disorders are:
Antisocial Personality Disorder: This disorder is characterized by a lack of regard for the rights of others, a disregard for social norms, impulsivity, aggression, and often criminal behavior.
Borderline Personality Disorder: This disorder is characterized by unstable relationships, difficulty regulating emotions, impulsivity, and fear of abandonment.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder: This disorder is characterized by a sense of grandiosity, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others.
Histrionic Personality Disorder: This disorder is characterized by excessive emotionality, attention-seeking behavior, and a tendency to be easily influenced by others.
Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder: This disorder is characterized by an excessive need for order, perfectionism, and control.
These are the five most common personality disorders, but there are others. If you think you may have one of these conditions, it's important to talk to a mental health professional for an accurate diagnosis.
