I am looking for help understanding the pathophysiology of acute pancreatic necrosis. I understand that it is a complication of acute pancreatitis, but I am uncertain of the exact mechanism involved. Could anyone please explain the process, from the inflammation to the necrosis? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
