Subtitle: Allergies in Humans

Allergies are a common occurrence in humans, and the number one allergy in humans is an allergy to dust mites. Dust mites are microscopic, spider-like creatures that live in house dust and feed off of human skin cells. They are most commonly found in bedding, carpets, and furniture. Symptoms of a dust mite allergy include sneezing, coughing, wheezing, itchy and watery eyes, and a runny nose. Treatment for a dust mite allergy includes avoiding dust mite-infested areas, using air purifiers to reduce dust mite levels, and taking antihistamines or other medications to reduce symptoms.
