Hello everyone,

I'm looking for advice on the most sensitive test for autoimmune. Does anyone have any experience with this topic? What tests do you recommend? I'm trying to find the best solution for diagnosing autoimmune diseases, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Autoimmune diseases occur when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues. Numerous tests are available to diagnose autoimmune diseases, but the most sensitive test is often a combination of tests, including a physical exam, blood tests, and imaging scans.

Physical Exam

A physical exam is the first step in diagnosing an autoimmune disease. During the exam, a doctor will check for signs of inflammation, such as redness, swelling, and tenderness. They may also look for signs of organ damage.

Blood Tests

Blood tests are often used to diagnose autoimmune diseases. The most sensitive tests are those that measure levels of antinuclear antibodies (ANA), which are typically found in people with autoimmune conditions.

Imaging Scans

Imaging scans, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, can help doctors diagnose an autoimmune disease by looking for signs of inflammation, organ damage, or the presence of a tumor.
