I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping to get some help. I'm looking for information about the first line treatment for AIHA. Does anyone have any experience with this condition and how it is treated? What are the best treatments and approaches for managing it? I'd really appreciate any advice or insights you can share. Thank you.

The first line treatment for AIHA (Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia) is typically immunosuppressive therapy. This may include corticosteroids, such as prednisone, azathioprine, cyclophosphamide, or rituximab. The goal of immunosuppressive therapy is to reduce the body’s production of antibodies that are attacking the red blood cells, allowing them to be replaced naturally. Depending on the severity of the case, other treatments may also be used in combination with immunosuppressive therapy, such as blood transfusions, splenectomy, or plasmapheresis.
