I'm having trouble understanding the difference between rhinitis and chronic rhinitis and was hoping someone here could help me out. I've done some research online but I'm still not sure I fully understand it.

Rhinitis vs Chronic Rhinitis

Rhinitis is an inflammation of the nasal passages, which is usually caused by exposure to an allergen or irritant. Symptoms include a runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, and itchy, watery eyes. Rhinitis is usually acute, meaning it resolves itself within a few weeks with or without treatment.

Chronic rhinitis is a persistent inflammation of the nasal passages. It is usually caused by allergies, but can also be caused by an underlying medical condition such as sinusitis or a deviated septum. Symptoms of chronic rhinitis are similar to those of rhinitis, but can last for months or even years. Treatment of chronic rhinitis may include medications, immunotherapy, and lifestyle changes.
